Bereavement Support Group

The mission of the Bereavement Support Group is to reach out to those who are grieving the death of a loved one. Meetings are held at the Spiritual Center on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC’s) for Mass and hospital

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) assist in the distribution of t Holy Communion at Mass. They also bring Communion to parishioners who are sick or homebound, and to Catholics in the nursing homes or at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.

There are no auditions for any of the choirs, there is no musical training needed.

Cantors, organists and instrumentalists help the assembly to participate more fully in the Sacred Liturgy through hymns of worship and praise.

Choirs enhance the beauty of the Liturgy through special musical selections. There are three choirs to choose from:

The Pray-N-Play group meets in the Spiritual Center on Tuesday mornings at 8:20 AM. Join with other parents in prayer and fellowship while your preschoolers play with other children in a friendly environment.

Perpetual Adoration Chapel

All are welcome to adore our Lord and Savior and pray for peace: in ourselves, in our families, in our community, in our nation and in the world. The Adoration Chapel is located in the Spiritual Center, which is on the campus of St. Raphael Church. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Adorers are needed for various hours, especially in the afternoon.

The Faith Formation Program aims to deepen the faith of those being taught to enable them to “hear” the message of hope and to help them spread God’s love through life and service.

Sacramental preparation classes for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are held in 2nd grade, and for Confirmation in 8th grade.

R.C.I.A. is a process by which those belonging to another faith family or no faith family may begin to learn the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith and, in time join us in our journey.

The primary purpose of the Rosary-Altar Society is to praise and honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Membership is open to all Catholic women and men.  Members are devoted to the Rosary and help to care for the sanctuary and altar of the church.  Meetings are held on select Sundays, usually on a monthly basis, following the 9:30 AM Mass.  Check the church bulletin for upcoming meetings and events.

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK)

Parishioners help make and serve lunch to the homeless and needy at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen on the fifth Wednesday of the month.

Hamilton Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center

(formerly known as Mercer County Geriatric Center)

On the second Tuesday of every month, members help with bingo for the residents of Hamilton Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
